These Winter training rides are intended to provide 60 minutes of focused effort and will consist of a mix of intervals, sustained efforts, hill repeats and active recovery work. Each week will be different and will be structured in such a way that individual riders will be able to work at their own pace and at a level of intensity they are comfortable with. This is a mixed ability ride and it is important to remember you are only competing with yourself…..no one else!

So far as possible we will remain on roads where there is street lighting within Stockton Heath, Appleton, Thelwall and Lymm.

We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 07.30PM prompt. Please aim to be at the meeting point by 07:20PM
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet.  You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit.

Important: The majority of the ride will be in areas with street  lighting. However, you must ensure you have working front and rear lights which are clearly visible. Clothing with a reflective element is also recommended.

General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
