Wednesday training rides are at a faster pace than Sunday Club Rides covering 40-50 miles. We typically ride at above 20mph average and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group. During winter months where conditions don’t lend themselves to all out speed, we usually do hill repeat training sessions (Red Lane, Delph Lane, Daresbury, Frodsham Hill etc) Suitable for road bikes only.
We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 6:30PM prompt. Please aim to be at the meeting point by 06:20PM
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet. You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
