Out via Knutsford, Wilmslow and Poynton before heading south and the full “rolling” length of Shrigley Road to Bollington with glimpses of the “Peak” to our left but no prizes today for taking a left up the Brickworks or Blaze Hill.
Coffee stop this week is at 33miles and a new café for us. The Waterside is located in an old mill building on the bank of the Macclesfield Canal in Bollington.
The route home trends down and is via Prestbury, Mottram St Andrews, Alderley Edge, Ollerton, Plumley, Pickmere, Barber’s Lane and a final sprint up the Arley drag.
65miles and 2,550ft of ascent.
We typically ride at around 14-16mph average and we would like to ask riders to be respectful of this for your own safety and the safety of the group.

We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF at 08.20am and leave at 8:30AM prompt.
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet. You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.
General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
