The Wednesday Social is typically 20 – 25 miles. We typically ride at around 13-14mph average but the pace is managed for the slowest rider. Depending on who turns out there may be two rides to accommodate those that wish to ride a little faster. Suitable for road bikes only.
We meet at the Mulberry Tree, Stockton Heath, WA4 2AF and leave at 7:00PM prompt.
Bikes MUST be in good working order and you MUST have a helmet. You need to carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and when necessary you should also have lights.
General Rules:
– Please keep pavements clear at meeting points, be respectful of pedestrians.
– Riders must ride maximum two abreast – not four! – and on the left hand side of the road – safety first!
– We generally ride as a single group, unless we have 12 or more riders when we would split into 2 groups (assuming we have enough ride leaders to accommodate this)
– Riders must have someone they can phone in case of emergencies and mechanical failure – it is not the responsibility of the leaders to fix a bike – but they will help if they can.
